Coloring techniques
- Dyeing in one tone is a classic type of hair coloring, one of the oldest, but not outdated techniques. It involves giving the hair one uniform color from roots to ends.
- Blonding involves lightening the hair – full or partial, and can be of several types. The classic technique is lightening by several tones. Radical bleaching is a radical change in shade. Bleached hair is rejuvenating and refreshing, which is why the bleaching technique has been popular for many years.
- Bronding – should not be confused with the previous technique. When bronding, hair is colored in several shades, resulting in a smooth transition of colors. With the help of booking, the effect of highlights, burnt strands or a soft transition of color from dark to light is created. The color range of the “brond” technique, as a rule, ranges from chocolate to golden beige, but other options are also acceptable. Most often only the ends are affected, but the roots of the hair can also be stained.</li
- Highlighting is a technique for uniformly coloring individual strands. It is considered a gentle option, does not require frequent updating, and visually makes the hair look voluminous. Coloring is a technique in which several colors are used to dye hair – both natural and bright, at the request of the client. Coloring involves coloring not the entire head of hair, but only individual strands. The paint is applied chaotically, in large strokes, due to which the hair acquires visual thickness and splendor.Do not confuse coloring with highlighting – despite the similarity of the techniques, coloring has a significant difference – it gives a brighter and more saturated color.
- Ombre is the creation on the hair of the effect of a smooth transition of color from the middle of the hair, while all strands are affected, and not just individual ones – this is the difference between ombre and other similar techniques – balayage and shatush.
- Sombre is a lightweight version of the ombre technique. The transition between two colors is blurred as much as possible and becomes almost invisible, which provides a natural effect.
- Shatush – coloring of individual strands, the pigment is stretched by the master from the middle of the curl to its end, thereby creating the effect of natural burnout in the sun. Does not require frequent correction.
- Balayage is a technique in which the artist highlights individual strands, working with wide “sweeps” and brush strokes. Hence the name – “balayage” is translated from French as “sweep.” The pigment is distributed throughout the curls in large strokes, from the end to the middle. As a result, the shades smoothly flow into one another, organically mixing with the natural color.
- AirTouch is a lightweight dyeing method in which only individual strands are slightly highlighted. Shades that are close to the natural hair color are used, so the result looks natural. The hair roots are not affected.
- Toning is dyeing hair with medium-resistant dyes without ammonia and other aggressive additives in the composition. The procedure gives the hair a fresh, well-groomed and healthy look, natural shine, and helps restore hair after unsuccessful dyeing.Toning can change the hair tone by 1-4 levels. Special formulations with caring components have a gentle effect on the strands, so tinting is suitable for weakened, brittle, sensitive hair types. Over time, the dye is washed out of the hair, so hairdressers suggest using special tinting shampoos to help maintain the shade. Picking, in other words, is called “washing” and involves removing pigment from the hair. Complete rinsing of persistent pigment cannot be done at home; the procedure must be carried out under the supervision of an experienced professional. The coloring is washed off if the client wants to return to the natural color, if the result of the coloring does not suit him, if it is necessary to remove the effect of “overload” of color due to numerous stains.
